On June 4th, 2016, Art Club invited the festival to take a break and make art together. Meditatively alone.

A wealth of dried seeds, pods, flowers and nuts, collected on morning walks in our fair town, were laid out for the community to pick from. Simple or elaborate, detailed & delicate or enormous & bold, using dainty acorn cups or huge cigar tree seed pods, nature mandalas were created.

Upon completion & after photographing, in the spirit of impermanence, we swept the mandalas away into one communal pile...

The project was held in a forest, in a tent, in the midst of the festival. The natural bounty used to create the mandalas found its next resting place as the set design for an interactive, promenade theater performance the following day.

And the circle continues...
And an intuitive art was conjured by all.
